Do your feet hurt?

Foot pain is on the rise, according to a recent American Podiatric Medical Association (APMA) survey. 42% said their feet hurt occasionally and 6% said that they hurt all the time. And 41% of respondents believed that it was normal for their feet to hurt sometimes. Foot pain is not something you have to live with. In fact, many foot problems are preventable and almost all are completely treatable.
Foot pain can have many causes. It can be the result of the shoes you wear, where you work, how you walk, your exercise routine, foot deformities, and even undetected diabetes, poor circulation, or arthritis.
An estimated 75% of Americans will experience foot problems during their lifetime and only 16% will see a Podiatrist. The fact is that we are a more active society and we are on our feet more than ever before and should not be surprised by these statistics.
Although a physically active lifestyle is an important part of keeping YOU healthy, don’t neglect the minor aches and pains that could sideline you for the long haul.
